Leo Robinson

Leo Robinson

    • Managing Director - Investments

    Leo Robinson is a Managing Director – Investments and principal at Robinson Financial Group with more than 20 years of experience managing investments through multiple market cycles. Leo develops and implements wealth management strategies for high-net-worth individuals and families, corporate executives, and small to medium-sized businesses. After decades of successfully servicing personal client relationships, he has a solid understanding of the challenges his clients and their families face. With his personalized systematic approach, Leo works with clients in helping grow their wealth and taking care of their loved ones by effectively managing the impact of taxes and passing their wealth along to the next generation. He also helps them understand the importance of a customized, goals-based investment plan that reflects their individual objectives and comfort with risk.

    Prior to joining Wells Fargo Advisors, Leo was a Senior Vice President, Senior Portfolio Management Director and Financial Advisor at Morgan Stanley and Vice President and Financial Advisor at UBS. He holds Series 7, 31 and 66 securities registrations, as well as a state insurance license for life and long-term care. Leo earned a degree in Psychology and Business from the University of Rhode Island.

    He lives in Boston, MA, and is the father of two college students. He is involved in many charitable organizations and fundraising. Leo volunteers with and serves on the board of the Jett Foundation, helping children and families effected with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, and is it’s past Chairman. He also volunteers as an instructor for Vermont Adaptive Ski and Sport where he teaches skiing and snowboarding to at-risk kids and helps people of all disabilities enjoy the outdoors through skiing. Away from the office, Leo is involved with his local community and has served on the board of the Marshfield Country Club as its Membership Chairman. He enjoys snowboarding and boating.

    Cathy Burgess is a First Vice President – Investments at Robinson Financial Group and has more than 25 years of financial services experience. Cathy combines the passion of education that she learned from her mother, an educator and attorney, with the financial wisdom of her father, a banker and advisor, to influence positive change in the lives of others, ultimately drawing on the best of both her parents. Cathy focuses on translating the various complexities of the wealth management world into an effective, customized financial solution.

    With a focus on pre- and post-retirement planning and working with those in a time of transition (divorce, loss of a loved one, marriage, career change, etc.), Cathy is proud to help those who may have a difficult time clarifying their financial matters on their own. Furthermore, her fluency and comfort in working within the greater LGBTQIA community has led her to helping several of her clients find a sense of confidence in relation to their wealth. In doing so, Cathy utilizes her personal experience and exposure to various organizations in the LGBTQIA community nationally.

    Cathy is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional and a Retirement Income Certified Professional®, and she maintains her Accredited Domestic Partnership Advisor℠ designations as well. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Boston College, where she also served as the captain of the women’s golf team.

    In her community, Cathy supports many causes that are near and dear to her heart. She is currently the President of the College Club of Greater Lawrence, and she is newly involved as a Board Member of The Dignity Institute of Charlestown, MA. Cathy is also a member of the Human Rights Campaign Federal Council, a founding member of the Massachusetts LGBTQ Chamber of Commerce, and a former President of the Alumni Council of The Governor’s Academy. And as a cancer survivor, Cathy is an active participant in the Jimmy Fund Golf Program through the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, both as a player participant and guest speaker.

    In her additional free time, Cathy loves snorkeling, scuba diving, and playing golf. An adventurer at heart, she is always open to trying new places, especially if she can engross herself in new cultures and communities.

      Kim Valentine is a Senior Registered Client Associate and has more than 30 years of experience in the financial services industry. Kim manages all aspects of the team’s daily operational needs. Kim provides a wide range of client services including administrative and operational support such as check requests, document processing, and account maintenance. She also processes trades and retirement plan distributions. Kim takes a holistic approach to each client’s individual needs and believes in building caring relationships based on trust and integrity.

      Prior to joining Wells Fargo Advisors in 2019, Kim was a Senior Registered Client Associate at UBS Financial Services, Tucker Anthony and Smith Barney. She attended Pennsylvania State University and holds her Series 7 and 66 registrations.

      Kim is a native of New Jersey and enjoys spending time with her children and three grandchildren when she is away from the office.

        Klay Meta provides exceptional client service and assists with multiple facets of our operations and client relationships. This includes sales, support, administrative duties, management, compliance, IT and marketing duties. Klay also books appointments for portfolio reviews and assistance with statements and accounts. He is detail oriented and possesses a deep commitment to client service which makes him an invaluable member of the team. Klay’s goal is to deliver the highest level of personal service and professional support.

        Klay joined Wells Fargo Advisors in 2019 after graduating from University of Massachusetts, Lowell with a Bachelor of Science in Finance. Prior to joining Well Fargo Advisors, he began his financial services career as a Client Service Representative with Putnam Investments where he earned multiple client service DALBAR awards. Klay is currently a CFA Level II candidate.

        Klay lives in the Boston area and enjoys supporting his favorite sport teams, golfing, traveling, and spending time with family and friends in his free time.
